It Was Always the Plan
from The Bridge Hosted by Joyce Dorian
Most of us have only scratched the surface of what God’s covenants really mean. In this episode of The Bridge, I sit down with Pastor Thomas Lewis to unpack one of the most important — and often misunderstood — foundations of our faith: God’s promises to Israel and what they mean for us today. Together, we explore: Why God’s covenants are unbreakable and ongoing The difference between conditional and unconditional promises Why the idea that the Church replaced Israel has caused deep confusion How believers are grafted into God’s promises — not a replacement of them What this means for how we read Scripture and understand God’s plan This conversation brings clarity to questions many believers wrestle with: What is the role of Israel today? How do the Old and New Testaments connect? And what has always been God’s plan? At the heart of it all is this truth: God is faithful to His promises — yesterday, today, and forever. If you’ve ever felt confused about covenants, prophecy, or how it all fits together… this episode will help you see Scripture with fresh clarity and deeper understanding. 🎙️ The Bridge exists to bring understanding and healing to the disconnect between Jews and Christians — and this conversation is right at the heart of that mission. Keywords: Biblical covenants, Israel and the Church, Jewish roots of Christianity, Old Testament New Testament connection, Bible prophecy, faith and Scripture, grafted into Israel, God’s promises
