Italy Gets It Right: Little Italies, Rhythm, and the Art of Living

Italy doesn’t rush. It doesn’t polish away texture. It lives inside beauty as if it were ordinary. In this reflection, I share why the Italian way of life resonates so deeply, how it mirrors my own work in thick impasto palette-knife paintings, and what I learned this summer while collaborating with RGM in Italy, as they took the entire month of August off while I painted and waited.This is the heartbeat of my new capsule series, Little Italies: six-inch portals of stucco, light, lemons, and balcony blooms.
