The first day of classes is Tuesday, Jan. 20. TAMIU’s common reading program, known as “Reading the Globe,” will lead 15 students and six faculty-staff members on a study-travel program reflective of the University’s international mission. With a full semester under its belt, the Texas Academy of International and STEM Studies is now readying to welcome the second cohort of students to the Laredo’s newest high school.
