Het was een bijzondere dag voor rolstoeltennis. Het was zaterdag niet alleen de finaledag van het ABN AMRO Open rolstoeltennistoernooi, maar ook de dag waarop een groot aantal Nederlandse rolstoeltennissers en organisaties opgenomen werden in de nieuwe Wheelchair Tennis Hall of Champions. De voorzitter van de Internationale Tennis Federatie (ITF), David Haggerty, is speciaal voor deze gelegenheid naar Rotterdam gekomen. Hoe beviel zijn bezoek, wat vond hij van de rolstoeltennisfinales en wat kunnen we verwachten van de Wheelchair Tennis Hall of Champions? It was a special day for wheelchair tennis. Saturday was not only the final day of the ABN AMRO Open wheelchair tennis tournament, but also the day a large number of Dutch wheelchair tennis players and organizations were inducted into the new Wheelchair Tennis Hall of Champions.
