There's tales of various pilgrimages made to Wembley Stadium to witness the American Bowl pre-season matches which took place during the early half of the decade, as well as some gridiron games which took place nearer to home, at a venue very close to Stu and Alex's collective hearts. Along the way we encounter the Norton Radstock Starlette Majorettes, a moody T-shirt seller, and Bob Turner, who used to live round the back of Stu's nan.
