It's All About Jesus: Arguing with Jesus about the Afterlife (3/10/19)

Some of the most profound things Jesus said came in the context of dispute; especially in his exchanges with those who sought to oppose him. In every case, Jesus offered a response so brilliant and unexpected that, "When they heard his answer, they were astonished at his teaching." This week we'll look at Jesus' response to those who sought to trip him up with a trick question about the afterlife. While we live in a world that is skeptical about whether there is anything certain to say about the afterlife, Jesus had no doubts; and his answer was so clear and compelling that it turned his greatest opponent (Saul) into his greatest ally (Paul) who famously wrote - To live is Christ; to die is gain!
