This beat series has been brewing since the depths of 2020-2021, during those surreal pandemic nights. Corn Starch is a nod to that overlooked ingredient in your favorite stir-fries—the subtle but powerful enhancer that deepens flavor without altering the dish’s essence. In this collection, I’ve done the same: layering gritty drums, saturated bass lines, soulful Rhodes keys, and a hint of synth. Each track is drenched in haunting reverb and warm, emulated tape, creating an atmosphere that feels both familiar and ghostly.
