Welcome to the Monday edition of “It’s Another Day”. Tomorrow President Trump is being arrested and arraigned in New York. The country is on tinder hooks. Everyone is talking about us being in ‘uncharted waters’, but these are more than simply ‘uncharted waters’. They are shark-infested and extremely dangerous waters…waters that may prove to be deadly to our democracy. Benjamin Franklin was leaving the constitutional convention in 1787, and a curious passerby asked what the group had produced and he had a classic response… “a republic if you can keep it.” What happens over the course of the next few days, may determine if we can hang on to that precious republic.
