Welcome to the Thursday edition of “It’s Another Day with Jim and Bill”. We live in a world where distraction and misdirection are the norm. Blatantly false stories are peddled as the truth. Case in point, we were told by the mainstream media that the Israelis had destroyed a hospital filled with the injured and the innocent. We were told that 500 people died. We were led to believe that the attack was intentional. What we learned later, when the dust settled, was that the entire story was not true. It was…a lie. The great American writer and orator, Mark Twain once said…”A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on it’s pants.” He also said, “The truth has no defense against a fool determined to believe a lie.” Unfortunately, both apply to yesterday’s hospital story…and much of what the media is throwing at us these days.
