from VanAnswer · host Jared Van Anne
"Well, I know it's my age," says the patient. "Right," says the doctor. Too often we hear patients, on their initial visit, want to explain their situation as primarily a function of their age. True, as we grow older we do decrease in lean muscle mass and the ability to quickly respond in terms of recovery. However, that is the "low hanging fruit"; the easy excuse that allows people to continue on the path of status quo. The truth of the matter is that we see 60 year-old's who are younger than 30 somethings. How can this be? Some people find the "relative" fountain of youth, while other AGE POORLY. This podcast discusses the idea of age and how we can harness the relative fountain of youth and avoid the easy path of aging poorly.
