It's Never Too Late To Learn To Ride A Bike In Northwest Arkansas - A Conversation With TRAILBLAZERS

About the Show:I can remember when I learned to ride a bike. I was about four years old and had a bike with training wheels. I couldn’t wait to get those training wheels off so I could ride on two wheels like the big kids in our neighborhood. I know that a lot of people don’t have that shared experience. According to a recent poll, about 100 million Americans bike each year in the United States. But, there are two big obstacles that keep more people off bikes than on - traffic safety while riding a bike and the lack of access to a working bicycle.  In an area like Northwest Arkansas, with miles and miles of bike trails, it almost feels like everyone here should own a bike and know how to ride, but that is not the case.  That’s where an organization like Trailblazers + ETHIC comes in to bridge the gap and create awareness around bicycling and bicycling safety. Anya Bruhin is the Bike Education Program Manager with Trailblazers + ETHIC.
