It's not the Content, it's who has access to your data...

from KELY 1230AM/98.5 FM News and Commentary · host Wyatt Cox

People don’t get why we kvetch so much about TikTok.  Every social media app spies on you.  Facebook, X, Reddit, they all do.  But here’s the problem.  The others are not controlled by a government full of hackers ready to try to exploit every bit of data your phone contains.  While China says they oppose hacking attacks, their hackers have recently attacked the US Treasury, AT&T and Verizon Systems, The Philippine Presidential offices, and power grids.  No, you may not have national security information on your phone, but you could find your identity stolen and given to a foreign terrorist, your bank account could be cleaned out, you could be compromised…easily.  All these intrusive platforms collect your data.  But TikTok or any application controlled by a dangerous foreign government should not be on your phone…just like the Chinese Government should NOT own ANY thing in the United States...Just like you can’t buy land in China.
