It's Not You, It's Me - Pastor Chris Cope

from Keystone North Church

“Have you ever faced a broken relationship? If you’re human, the answer is likely yes. Whether you're navigating current struggles or reflecting on past wounds, painful relationships can deeply affect us if we don’t seek guidance from the Lord. The Bible offers wisdom on how to manage relational conflicts. While tension is often inevitable among us, we can learn to handle these situations with a biblical perspective that encourages growth and healing. The story of Jacob in Genesis 32 is an example. Jacob’s relationship with his brother Esau was marred by conflict from the start, leading to bitterness and jealousy that festered over many years. When God called Jacob to leave, the brothers were separated for 20 years. When God called him to return, Jacob was filled with anxiety, fearing that Esau harbored hatred and a desire for revenge. However, the reality was far different from Jacob's assumptions. His past experiences had clouded his judgment, allowing fear to dictate his thoughts and feelings. You choose how your past affects your future! When you invite the Lord to transform your perspective, He speaks truth and love into your life, reshaping the narratives you’ve been believing about yourself and others. Stay committed to bringing your burdens to the Lord. Allow Him to work on your heart and reveal areas in need of healing so you can love yourself and others more fully. #ThisIsTheGospel #LetTheWindBlow #SermonSunday #Faith #Gospel #Christianity #Church #Hope #Prayer #Abide #HolySpirit #GiftsoftheSpirit #Community #Bible #TheWordofGod #Relationships”
