It’s Not Your Place to Judge My Politics. — Ep27.

Listen closely. HBCU-Now understands more than you give them credit for. They know their vote matters; they know it’s their civic duty; they know the electoral college carries more weight than the popular vote; and they want more of their peers to be better informed but not judged along the way. That is only one of the impactful messages in this conversation with Chemistry major Deja Rogers of Bennett College. Her journey through the all girls’ college isn’t without its challenges especially as it relates to having the necessary academic resources for her major at a small college. This week’s I Love My HBCU? Conversation with Deja is a reminder of the variety of activism that exists amongst HBCU students, the appreciation of community and the challenge to do difficult things because more often than not, it is rewarding. Calling all proud Bennett Belles, tune in to hear Deja’s passion about community and black women in STEM, and her appeal for us all not to shut down another’s voice because of their different political views. Deja Rogers’ episode is streaming on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music. *All opinions expressed by guests do not reflect the views of all entities of "I Love My HBCU?"
