It's Okay Not to Be Okay

from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scott

It's Okay Not to Be Okay Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we don't feel okay. The world tells us to be strong, to push through, to hide our pain. But God invites us to come as we are—broken, weary, and hurting. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, NIV). He never said we had to have it all together before coming to Him. He simply calls us to bring our struggles, our tears, and our heavy hearts to Him. Even the greatest figures in the Bible—David, Elijah, and even Paul—had moments of deep sorrow and despair. Yet, in their brokenness, they found strength in God. He doesn't condemn us for our struggles; He comforts, heals, and walks with us through them. If you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, or broken today, remember: It's okay not to be okay. But don't stay there alone—bring your pain to Jesus. He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and promises to carry us when we are too weak to stand. Rest in His love, knowing that He holds you even in the hardest moments.
