What this episode covers
Patricia Greenberg 🏃♀️ didn't start out athletic — she was a self-described "uncoolest person on the planet" who stumbled into nutrition by accident in college 🥗 then built a career as a dietitian, chef instructor, and author of The Whole Soy Cookbook. A spontaneous LA Marathon sign-up turned into 20 marathons 🏅 and 115 half-marathons, including a Greek odyssey retracing the original Pheidippides route in Athens 🇬🇷. After a hip replacement, Patricia traded running for an unexpected new sport: tower climbing 🏢 — racing up stairwells in landmark skyscrapers like the Empire State Building, Chicago's Hancock Tower, and a deeply emotional 102-story climb up the new World Trade Center 🗽. Her mantra, "It's okay to be old," isn't resignation 🤝, rest 🧶, a little extra weight as protective armor ✨. Her wisdom: a five-minute walk and a little self-acceptance can move the needle further than perfection ever will ❤️.
