It's Okay to Start Over
from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scott
It's Okay to Start Over Starting over doesn't mean you've failed—it means you're brave enough to begin again. Life can take unexpected turns. Dreams fade, relationships break, and plans unravel. But our God is a God of fresh starts. He doesn't hold our past against us. Instead, He invites us to take His hand and walk into a new beginning. Isaiah 43:19 reminds us, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" God delights in redeeming broken stories and turning them into something beautiful. You may carry regret, loss, or fear—but grace says, "Let's try again." Each morning brings new mercy (Lamentations 3:22–23), and each step forward is a testimony of God's faithfulness, not your perfection. If you feel like your life has hit a dead end, know this: with God, there are no wasted seasons. He will use every detour to shape your heart and reveal His purpose. Today, give yourself permission to breathe. To release what didn't work. To trust that God's not done with you yet. You are never too far gone, and it's never too late. Because with God—starting over isn't failure. It's faith.
