‘It’s Progress Jim, But Not as We Know It!’ Chelsea FanCast #1104

from Chelsea FanCast

Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Marco Worrall to look back at the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa and ahead to Wednesday night's match against Liverpool. In part one we look back at the 0-0 draw in the FA Cup against Aston Villa. The injury curse strikes again as Colwill withdraws but his replacement Gilchrist did well. Chelsea were dominant in the first half but, wash, rinse, repeat - can’t score, although Martinez is a top keeper and kept them in it. Chelsea were on the front foot, pressing and were up for it and the atmosphere was rocking as a result. In the second half we tired, and Petrovic kept us in it.We ask was the Ref Taylor in disguise? And discuss Mudryk and Broja being truly hopeless; it was like playing with 9 men when they came on. But it was a very good performance, especially the pressing, just a frustrating result. We potentially have Leeds at home next if we can beat Villa in the replay – but can we?In part two we preview the Liverpool v Chelsea match on Wednesday night, kicking off with Chidge's team selection. Will Colwill be fit? Will Chilwell start? Are Mudryk and Broja unpickable at the moment? Will it make a difference with Kopp announcing he's leaving at the end of the season? No Salah – will it make a difference? How do we see it going plus our predictions. And finally another round of 'They Played for Both'.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
