"It's So Unfair That Women Expect Me to Have Confidence. And Therapy Didn't Help!"

from You Don’t Know Anything About Women: Dating Stories and Advice · host Roy Calvin | Dating Advice

Here's who I'm giving REAL dating advice for men to in this episode:- A guy who thinks all the new girls he meets are downgrades compared to his ex (the Reddit comments on this one are really dumb).- A guy who's convinced himself that he's not afraid of rejection, he just doesn't want to inconvenience girls.- An overly-anxious guy who thinks it's a bad thing that a girl is texting less after the first date (even though the next date is already scheduled).- A pessimistic guy that I was going to give advice to, but I gave up.- A regular customer of a cute girl, so he gave a napkin with his phone number on it to her but didn't receive any texts.Subscribe for more Reddit dating stories, dating advice for men, and dating tips.Message me or support the show: https://linktr.ee/roycalvinDating lessons from this episode:Everyone feels like a downgrade after a breakup when you are not over your ex. Comparing every new woman to your ex is normal after a painful breakup, especially when she was your first girlfriend. The solution is not to stop dating, but to keep meeting women while staying open to the possibility that another great one will come along.Your ex may not be as special as she feels right now. When you are young and inexperienced, a first serious girlfriend can feel impossible to replace. More dating experience often reveals that the relationship was not as unique as it seemed in the moment.Dating after heartbreak requires going on dates instead of romanticizing the past. If you are getting matches and opportunities, use them. Sitting around comparing every woman to your ex keeps you stuck, while going on more dates gives you the experience needed to move forward.Approaching women in public does not mean you are ruining their day. Worrying that you are inconveniencing a woman by flirting can stop you from ever taking action. If you approach respectfully and accept rejection, you are not doing anything wrong.A woman feeling uncomfortable after a respectful approach is not your responsibility. If you politely shoot your shot and she is not interested, that is the end of it. You do not need to leave the venue, apologize for existing, or manage her feelings after a normal interaction.Stop waiting for women to text first after a date. Most men cannot rely on women to pursue them, even if the date went well. If you want to see her again, take the lead, set up the next date, and do not play passive texting games.Less texting between dates usually creates less anxiety and better momentum. After a date is planned, you do not need constant conversation to keep her interested. Save your conversations for the date and send a simple confirmation message the day before.Do not ask a woman if she is losing interest because her texting changed. Sending a needy message about her texting patterns can create the very loss of interest you are afraid of. Stay calm, avoid insecure check-ins, and focus on whether she agrees to meet again.Confidence and humor matter in dating because women value how a man makes them feel. Resenting the importance of confidence or a sense of humor will not help your dating life. If your current mindset is bitter, negative, or self-hating, it will be much harder to attract women.Do not give a coffee shop girl your number on a napkin and wait passively. Passing a note can feel bold, but it is usually not the best move. If you like a woman who works somewhere you visit regularly, talk to her directly when she has a moment and ask for her number with words.
