from WIZM - La Crosse Talk Interviews · host WIZM News Staff
Sam Przywojski, with River Clean Up La Crosse, in the WIZM studio discussing just that, a three-decades long event that happens on Saturday. River Cleanup has been going on for 32 years and, over that time, pulled out over 800,000 pounds of trash, as well as recycled 3,300 of those blue barrels and nearly 2,000 tires. Przywojski said they could still use volunteers, people with boats, canoes or kayaks, for the event Saturday morning, which meets up in one of these four landings: -- Clinton Street West Landing-- 7th Street Landing-- Goose Island West Landing-- Fred Funk Landing on Brice Prairie. Following the event, volunteers are invited to the afterparty at the Copeland Park Shelter for provided food, drinks and door prizes.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
