It's Time To Sit Down!

Memory Verse: "And Jesus said, 'Make the men sit down'..."  ~ John 6: 10A KJV Bible Text: Isaiah 30:15 AMPC 15. For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not, INSPIRATION: Often, we worry about things we have no control over or solutions to, whereas, God expects us to sit down! Sit at his feet; relax in your trust in Him. He'll make good what He begun. Stop pacing about and worrying over things beyond your control. Just sit at His feet like Mary did (Luke 10: 39) and receive His instructions! I have known a bit of God to worry about fixing what only He can fix. There's a critical need for us to return to God, trusting absolutely in Him. Partial trust equals no trust. You cannot rest in God until your trust is absolute! Jesus said, "Make the peeple sit down." This simple instruction wasn't for them to abandon their responsibility but to handover control of what seems bigger than them to God. Miracles happen where our faculties, abilities and skills fail. When no one had a solution, Jesus offered one! But to witness His miracle, they must sit down! Their minds must be stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3), and not on their situation!! Are you sitting down where God's word can change things speedily you? Are you maximising your privilege to rest in God's love, knowing He'll not fail? Do you often feel so encumbered by life's pressure? It's time to sit down. You need an update on your operational manual. Sit down with God and get instructed. Take a break from your activities and get redirection. Let Jesus lead so you can enjoy His rest. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Learn to sit down and not be agitated by life's struggles. Pressure will mount, but wisdom is knowing when to retreat and just sit down with the Master. Refreshing and insightful moments are best recorded when you sit down with Jesus. PRAYER: O Lord, please help me to fix my mind on You; to sit where You bid me sit, and to take divine instructions. Make my response to always be like Peter's, "Nevertheless, at thy word, I will...," and whenever I do, may miracles happen, in Jesus name.
