It's Up To Us
from Sunday Sermon Hosted by Charleston Church Downeast
In this compelling sermon, Pastor Joel explores Jesus's approach to addressing the world's "harvest field" - the spiritual and physical needs surrounding us. Drawing from Matthew's Gospel, he breaks down Christ's ministry template: teaching biblical principles, preaching hope, healing the sick, showing compassion, praying for more laborers, and empowering disciples with spiritual authority. The core message challenges believers to move beyond passive observation and become active participants in meeting community needs. Pastor Joel argues that God's vision requires our direct involvement, emphasizing the powerful principle: "If it's going to be, it's up to me." He invites listeners to pray for a transformative perspective - to see the world's pain through God's eyes and recognize every moment as an opportunity for ministry and compassion.
