It's Your Size, Square Up To It! (30-Jun-2024).

from Emmanuel Afiawari's Inspiration podcast · host Emmanuel Afiawari

Oftentimes when we talk about our ordeals, we paint pictures of the uniqueness and peculiarities of our pain as different from the experiences of other people. Whilst I do not intend to make light of your struggles or dismiss them, I would like to note that our peculiarities are not only in our struggles but also in our graces and gifting. You'd be grossly mistaken to think only of the peculiarities of your pain and not of your graces also. That would be an imbalanced assessment of your life in its totality. Have you considered that what you survived destroyed others completely? ‭The Passion Translation puts it in a loving and captivating way, "We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously." In God's faithfulness, He allows us go through stuff that are equal to us so we don't get consumed by them.
