ittish-ottish

from sampi · host sampi

Here is a little story about the title of this tune: The inspiration to make it was when I learned one of my musician idols, Ott formed a band called Ott and the All Seeing I, to play his awesome tracks live. After listening to tracks from him I realized it's time for me to try to make something more complex, like a musical journey. The word "ott" means "there" and "itt" means "here" in Hungarian, my first language. I wrote the whole song in San Francisco shortly after arriving, while thinking about all the people I left behind in Copenhagen and Budapest. There you go, this is how the name and this tune came to be. *I've replaced the audio with a remastered version with a slightly better ending on May 21 2013!*
