A Assembleia da República (AR) rejeitou nesta sexta-feira todas as propostas que propunham isentar de IVA os bens alimentares essenciais, num debate que decorreu ao longo da manhã e em que até uma sopa de legumes serviu de ilustração. Em discussão estiveram propostas do Livre, Chega, PS, PCP, PAN e BE, que pretendiam aliviar as famílias face à subida dos preços devido à guerra no Médio Oriente. Todos os partidos da oposição atiraram ao Governo, mas não houve nenhum entendimento capaz de impor a implementação do IVA zero.
