Už 30 let umí čeští lékaři úspěšně transplantovat srdce. Odborníci pražského Institutu klinické a experimentální medicíny totiž na konci ledna 1984 jako první v zemi transplantovali srdce člověku, který by bez tohoto zákroku nepřežil déle než tři týdny. A prodloužili mu život o víc než 13 let. Od té doby v IKEM pomohli 938 pacientům. Jak těžké je provést transplantaci? Dá už se považovat za rutinní zákrok? V jakých případech je nutná?
