Ivanhoe Chapter 32

In which the outlaws, under their chief Locksley, celebrate their recent victory with a strict yet equitable division of spoils beneath an ancient oak, whilst kindness and loyalty are rewarded in the forest’s green amphitheatre. A merry and spirited altercation ensues between the stout Friar and the Black Knight, weaving camaraderie and challenge amid the earnest dealings of ransom and release, as the scene sets towards new encounters.
