I've Been Close to Tears All Day, But It's Cool

Man, I’ve been on the verge of tears today, Y’all. And that’s fine by me.It’s difficult to constantly read, write, and speak about Traitor Trump and all of the bullshit that comes along with his crybaby crap. America’s chaos demon sucks the energy and joy out of daily life so often. It’s not easy to focus on the many positives in life when his stupid, worthless name dominates the headlines constantly.I realized this today while driving my mother around. And also over the past weekend, when I focused more on family stuff than on my Substack. I struggle with finding balance in life. I put 80 to 85 hours a week into everything that goes along with my independent journalism and political activism. It doesn’t leave me much room for enjoyable things. But I’m trying to change that lately.Give this one a listen and let me know if you can relate to it at all. We shouldn’t be focused on shitty politics 100% of our lives. We must make room to enjoy the good things, or else it will take a toll on our mental health. I’m feeling a shift. Though I will continue writing and podcasting about politics until we’re rid of the Count of Mostly Crisco, I know that I can pivot and change slowly and enjoy life a bit more.
