His practice brought him to Penland School of Crafts where he attended workshops before being awarded a place in the Core Fellowship Program. During the two-year fellowship, he developed a line of jewelry that focused on non-traditional etching techniques and surface design revolving around his work as a two dimensional artist. His metalwork varies from collections of jewelry to singular, stand out studio pieces.
