The International Workshop on CAR-T (iwCAR-T) 2022 featured many updates on the development of CAR T-cell therapies for the treatment of solid tumors. This roundtable discussion on the development of cellular therapies in lung cancer was chaired by Melissa Johnson, MD from the Sarah Canon Research Institute and Tennessee Oncology, Nashville, TN, and featured Sandip Patel, MD,UC San Diego Health, San Diego, CA, Sylvia Lee, MD,Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, WA, and Prasad Adusumilli, MD, FACS, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY. In this session, alterations to the composition of the tumor microenvironment as a result of immune checkpoint therapy and the implications of this, as well as tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for the treatment of solid tumours are discussed. This discussion was filmed during the International Workshop on CAR-t (iwCAR-T) held in Tampa, FL.
