J6 Committee Is A Rogue Operation Parallel To Nixon Secret Roadmap With Geoff Shepard

The Two Mikes had the pleasure of welcoming Geoff Shepard -- the master of Watergate analysis -- back for another discussion on that subject and how the Democrats playbook against Nixon was used again against Trump. Mr. Shepard again reminded us that the, Democrats dominated the Washington bureaucracy from 1932 until the time of Nixon, and seem to continue to do so today. Their attack on Trump in 1972 brought a new modus operandi to Washington. In that year, the Democrats decided that if they were defeated at the polls they would subsequently put those who beat them in jail, or at least drive them from office. And, of course they succeeded, even though it took ignoring the evidence that may have exonerated Nixon and a holy and secret collaboration between judges and prosecutors to turn the trick. Mr. Shepard noted that the same sort of attack plan is being used against Trump. The January 6th Committee probably is illegitimate because Pelosi, not the Republican leader in the House, chose the Republican members of the committee, thereby essentially packing the committee with anti-Trumpers. One advantage for Trump, however, is that there is irrefutable public evidence that Trump all but begged Pelosi and Washington's mayor to allow National Guard troops to be deployed to keep order in the city. As in the case of the Watergate prosecutors hiding evidence, the J-6 Committee also has withheld all of the video recorded by the government's camera's in the Capitol area. Mr. Shepherd reminds us that in Nixon's case the prosecutor's did much the same thing by sealing the so-called evidence against Nixon for 45 years, after never showing it to Nixon's attorneys.
