Jac Caglianone Heads to Home Run Derby | Kansas City Royals News

Jac Caglianone, the 23-year-old Royals outfielder, is officially headed to the Home Run Derby after a breakout June and offseason mental training—despite a rough rookie year. With 14 homers leading the team and elite Statcast metrics, he’s ready to unleash his power on a national stage in Philly on July 13th, with his dad pitching to him. A former college record-setter and World Baseball Classic standout, Caglianone’s Derby run could shine a spotlight on the struggling Royals—and prove he’s more than just a power hitter.
