In the dead of night, as people sleep, that's when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power. We like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey everybody, welcome back to another episode of Supernatural Hour.

I'm your host, Castle, and we're back. And because looking at me like I've got the horns brought up, do I have horns brought up head? No, but I was gonna offer some lozenges if they need them. Mainly, mainly me, because I'm still getting over cold.

Oh, I think I'm gonna make fun of Dan. No, I'd never make fun of Dan. Ever. I'm actually gonna the doctor for that.

So, it's a medical thing. Yeah, it is. Hey everybody, welcome. I'm your host, Castle, with this is Beaker.

What's happening? We have Granny Simmons. Granny Simmons. I really hate that name.

I'm not gonna answer to it. Oh, we have Dan. And we have silent Don. Hello.

By the way, thank you everybody who participated in our survey. We got a lot of responses and they were very helpful and insightful. One of the things we've been trying to do here on the show is to improve. We've noticed that we've been kind of mushy in a couple areas, and in a couple areas we've been doing better, and a couple areas we've been doing worse.

And so, overall, we're trying to make a better show for you guys. And so, we've looked at the survey. We've started to implement some ideas, which hopefully you guys will see coming up. We've given some of our, well, we've given actually every single one of our show hosts.

Some feedback from you guys. Some of you guys are incredibly cruel, but we love you anyway. And it's funny because one of the things was that Dan Clerge will throw a lot, which I didn't notice the last episode, and when I handed her a drink, when she was talking, and then I brought up with her today, and she goes, yeah, I just saw a talk about that because it happens a lot. So, we are addressing your concerns, and hopefully you guys will have a much more enjoyable experience between me being too quiet when I talk and...

Apparently, I don't talk enough. Tim's a dick. Let's just be honest. That was the feedback.

I need to talk more. That was the feedback that Tindy had to talk more. Tonight, notably absent, his lurch. And just real quick, lurch is taking a temporary hiatus from the show.

He's just being buried in his personal life between school, work, and family. And so, he will be back in a future date, but for now he's just taking a break. I'm not sure when he'll be back, but he's always welcome here, and he will be back in some future time. Also, Peaches is not with us tonight, so it'll just be the four of us.

And tonight's episode should be, hopefully interesting. It's not really paranormal related, but it kind of is, but it's really not. But before we get going on that, let's talk a little bit about business. Tim, what do we got?

We have coming up at the end of this month on Saturday, the 27th. We will be returning to the four Douglas Military Museum. Tickets are on sale currently at our Eventbrite, and you can find a link on our Facebook page at AdvancedPairNormalServices or AdvancedPairNormal.com. The tickets are currently going.

There are $35 if you want to come buy your lump sum. But if you have a date or something you want to bring with you, you can get the pair option, and it will save you like $10 bucks, so you can get two for $60. Yes, those prices might be a little off-site, remember. That's exactly what it was listed on Eventbrite when I took it before I came.

Then you are correct, sir. I can't remember what we listed that for. I do my homework. Good boy.

Sit, boo, boo. Sit, boo, boo, sit. Yes, and if you watch TV in the 80s, you know what that's from. We also have Family Tree coming up, and that one's actually not until January.

But we do have the Eventbrite up for that. You can also find a link to that event at AdvancedPairNormal.com. You can buy those tickets now. Great Christmas gift if you have somebody who's a ghost hunter in your family that you take at sport now.

Those we usually do for, I believe, $50. Those are listed at $50, and though it's more expensive, it's a smaller group, and that ticket includes dinner. And it's also that particular venue charges us per person to be there. So usually we don't offer a discount on that one, just because we don't really make any money on that.

Yeah, that is not an investigation that we really make. We walk out of that just the hair over. You must the entire, all the money goes to the restaurant itself, so. Yeah, we do that one, so you guys have something new and different to investigate, and because we enjoy it and want people to experience it.

That investigation is a labor of love for us, so that's why those ticket prices are where they're at. We bring it down if we could, but we cannot. We like going there because that's one of the venues that always has some sort of activity. We've never had a dull moment at the family tree.

We also, with our survey that we talked about, and by the way, thank you everybody who participated. We had a lot of good feedback. Some of you could really use some help with spelling. Love you.

But I think that was part of the feedback was done, make fun of the listeners. Maybe. We do have a contest winner because we did say that if people participated, that we would give a pair of free tickets to the Fort Douglas Ghost investigation. And who wants to answer a winner?

I think Deann does. I can do it. Excellent. It is.

Can we need a terminal? Terminal, terminal. The winner is Erin Gilmore. Yay, Erin.

We will see you at Fort Douglas on October 27th. 8.30pm. Your name will be on the list. She'll put the door and get checked in.

And we hope to see you there. We're not going to announce her name on Facebook. We're just going to see if she listens to the podcast. That's dirty.

No, I know. Well, we'll actually announce it the day this airs. We're going to make it a surprise though. Oh, so now you've got to listen to the show if you want to know if you're a winner or not.

No, we'll announce it the day it airs. We'll send her a message and all that. Oh, yeah. We'll wait until this actually airs.

OK, so we had the terminal Expo last week, which came in with an investigation. And it also came with the actual event itself. So the investigation was kind of neat. We actually investigated Fort Douglas.

And we initially had the commanders building and the officers club were the two venues that were listed on the investigation. And we were taken a little back because we didn't know how many tickets they sold. They sold a couple. A couple of close to 100 tickets.

So we were in charge of running that investigation. So we were caught a little flat footed when we had close to 100 participants show up. Normally we know how many people is going to be there. So we can plan ahead of time.

But this was just kind of sprung. And I was like, oh, hey, there's a hundred people have fun. Well, the fun part too is that I've investigated both the commanders building and the officers club. And so I know both those venues really well.

And there's an upstairs and an downstairs both those buildings. You got two floors. But still with 100 people, that's a little much. So as we split into groups and we sent people to their venues, we realized pretty quickly that we did not have the downstairs to either of those buildings.

And the commanders house actually has an upstairs main floor and basement. We only had the main floor both buildings. So fortunately, Bo, who's the director of the Fort Douglas Military Museum, just happened to be wandering by. And I grabbed Bo.

And I said, Bo, what are the chances we can get to the museum? So Bo actually opened the museum for us. And we were able to accommodate that investigation, which actually turned out to be a really good investigation. Yeah, I can't remember either for that investigation.

Oh, no, I was not. I had a long game that night. Sorry. It's not worth pause.

It's not giving you a look. Well, we lost really badly. It would have been better to go to the ghost hunt. You should have come to the ghost hunt.

You probably would have lost. So Tim, tell me about your experience during the investigation. I hobbled around because I have a broken foot. Now, it's actually really fun hearing different things from different people.

One of the people that actually got to work with a little bit was Dimmelyn Darling, one of her friends that she's the expert in the occult. And she actually did a lot of research on the buildings before she came, so she could actually tell people about it, kind of what it went on there. So learning the history of some of the buildings was kind of fascinating. Some of the stuff already knew.

But I learned more about the German soldiers that were massacred right after the war ended, right after Germany surrendered. There was the nine POWs down in Salina, Utah that found out that the war was over and they were going home. But there was a soldier there that decided to take it upon himself to just fire into their tents and kill the mine of the soldiers and wounded like $27, I believe. And when asked why he just simply replied with, I wanted to kill me some Germans, which is fascinating because I ended up doing a tour of the cemetery there and they showed us where all the nine Germans were buried.

And what I thought was interesting is for some reason the name Fritz kept popping in my head. And we actually found the tombstone for actually two different tombstones with the name Fritz on it. Oh, interesting. I thought that was pretty cool.

One thing that was interesting that happened to me is I didn't get to do really any investigation that night just because I was bouncing around making sure groups rotated and that people were there belonging and finding room to put 100 people when it was not quite big enough for 100 people without it had initially been laid out. But I walked into the commander's building and as I walked in I saw a shadow go like a cillet of a person on the outside of the building go right past the window. And so I quickly ran over that window and looked out and there was nobody anywhere near that window or anywhere who could have made a shadow go across there. Well and this is right after you and I had done some energy work with one of the ticket holders because she got attacked in a room in that building and we were talking about that spirit and that's when we walked back in and you saw the shadow.

Right now I walked over like I said I ran over there and looked out and there was nobody there was nobody by any streetlights or anything that could account for a silhouette of somebody going right past that particular window. So it was a good investigation. It's funny because I hear people sometimes say well I don't want to go on public investigations because you never get activity and there's so many people but you don't get any good evidence and public investigations suck. And we do both.

We do a lot of both and there's some really cool stuff that happens on private investigations but in reality I want to say I almost see more evidence on some of the public investigations because you've got more eyes who are seeing things and can report it and point it out. And again I wasn't really investigating. We had a couple of experiences at night without even looking for experiences. You and I were mainly just going to walk around checking on the groups.

I mean we had the one guy from Bear River Paranormal tell us that they were sitting in that one room in the commander's house at the fireplace and you could feel like the really heavy energy in there but he saw a shadow figure kind of poke a head out from behind the dry resport that was in that room. Oh yeah there were several people that mentioned experiencing stuff in that room. Overall I talked a lot of people had good experiences but yeah public investigations are not a bad location to pick up on evidence. In fact in a minute here we'll talk when we get to the end segment about recent investigations.

We'll talk about our events in great investigation. That investigation was crazy. We'll come back to that here in just a minute. But the Expo itself is really good.

We had a chance to talk with Greg Lawson, the paranormal detective. We had a chance to talk with Andrea Paran who is an eye astronaut so you pronounce it as Paran. Sorry go ahead. Oh I was saying she was the oldest daughter on the Con Dring basically and we actually have a full segment or not a full segment but we have an entire show of just an interview with her that we're going to release a week after this show was a bonus episode.

So you're going to get an extra episode this month and that will be the Andrew Paran interview. She was awesome. She was the neatest lady I ever met. I really liked her.

Oh she was an absolute sweetheart. One of the first things I told her when I was at the investigation at night and I walked into the building and I walked up to her and said Andrea I said you're a real brat in the movie. I saw you you're a real brat. She laughed with me and she knew I was kidding.

And I said you're a real flirt too. And she went on tell me that basically it was her younger sister who was the flor, the movie the director thought it'd be weird if the younger sister was flirty so they made her the flirty one. You know I did get to talk to her a little bit by myself after the show Coffee Gallery reading. Did she say that Castleton Castle?

No she didn't make sure. Brandi had actually met her as well and you could just fill the loving energy radiating off of this woman. You really could. She kind of sat down and I wasn't able to do the podcast at the Expo but she came and sat by me and I said oh I really wanted to do the you know to be able to be there but just with the space and the time it wasn't really feasible.

And she gave me a big hug and kissed me right on the forehead and you know she just said oh you're so sweet. And she talked to me like she'd known me for my whole life and just a sweet sweet lady. I told her the same thing I'm like I know I just met you today but I feel like I've known you my entire life. And like just the way she hugged you like it wasn't just like one of those like kind of like hug like we embraced for like a good two minutes at least like we just and it was one of those just like really tight like loving hugs.

I mean she's just an amazing woman. I mean this with all due respect and all the positive connotations ago that it was a total incomplete grandma hug. And what I mean by that's like when your grandma comes over and just gives you that really big hug it doesn't quite let you go and you can tell that your grandma's sad that she's not going to see you for a week or so until the mom and dad bring you back as one of those kind of hugs. And just kind of get everybody idea of how sweet a lady she was both the director at the Fort Douglas Naltry Museum.

He really wanted to meet her. She'd been over there looking for her and she'd been busy and so I started talking to a group of people and I led Bo over there and I was able to just kind of put my hand on her shoulder and say, Andrew, do you have a minute for Bo? And she just dropped everything she was doing. And I apologize to the people who were just taking her away from us.

I apologize. We'll end grab her for just a minute. And she was more than gracious to sign Bo's copy of the Con Dring and talk to him for just a minute before we'd better get back to that group. But just the fact that she would take that time to talk to him something who she didn't know and she was just very very polite.

There was another desk there who I won't mention by name who was very rude and kind of a complete diva which I did not really get a chance to talk to very much and I don't think I'd ever take the opportunity to talk to that guest again if I had a chance. Yeah, so I agree. But one of the things that we did get a chance to do, or you did anyways, because I was doing the gallery reading with Chip, is our friend Jimmy had brought back her little haunted clown Popo, but she also had this item called a Dibic box which is supposedly contains a Jewish demon and there was definitely some creepy ass energy on that thing. I didn't get a chance to actually investigate it.

And what I understand when you guys did investigate it, you had more activity from Popo. You know I'm glad you brought that up. It's kind of interesting. So the Dibic box, some guy decided to research on a make one.

He studied with Alex and Hasidic Jew elders. He apparently to make it you need like the dirt from the unconsecrated murder in Israel. So he flew to Israel to get dirt from an unconsecrated murders grave. It required like human teeth, a human bone.

Which sounds all sorts of nasty. Yeah, it really does. And then it requires the box to be covered or sealed with wax and the wax has to be applied in a certain pattern. Apparently the gentleman who made the box made it and was like a crap.

He basically was tinkering with something he should have been tinkering which is what we always advise against. Made something he shouldn't have made. Basically, Astroph, she wanted this box and she's like I'm not going to pay money for the box. And so basically he said no I just want the box gone.

He goes I want $4.25 to ship it. That's all I want is just the shipping. So she agreed to pay the shipping. She just got the box just prior to the expo.

So I didn't get a chance to, I mean I got a chance to play with Popo a little bit, but not the Dibic box. This is a Dibic box not. I'm using my quotes not the Dibic box correct. No, so what this was is if anybody's ever seen the movie The Possession that came back out in 2012 the story is supposedly based on an actual story.

Maybe this is something we could do in the future on one of our Hollywood versus reality movie segments like we do with the Conjuring because people seem to really love that. But so the possession was based on this guy taking his daughter to a yard cell and she found this box that she really liked and she wanted to buy it. But the thing was like in the movie the way they show it is it's completely sealed. There's no hinges or anything.

It doesn't have a wax on or anything like that. But basically like somehow she gets the box to open. And the whole point of like the demonic entity that's supposed to be attached to a Dibic box is it's designed to kill basically. So the movie is about this girl being possessed by the entity that inhabited this Dibic box.

The one that is supposed to be based the movie is based on when I was doing some research on the Dibic box it's actually owned now by Zach Beggins. Right and that's why I asked because I thought I've seen the Dibic box and it's like in case dinner I couldn't see her having it at the expo. So some guy who's actually Jewish and follows the religion because this is a Jewish entity more or less. I guess saw the movie and decided that he was going to go ahead and make his own Dibic box.

And did extensive research on how to do it and spent I think $2,500 gathering materials and basically he did his homework and he made one is what it comes down to. Now we did investigate it. Tim was at a gallery reading and so myself and some people with very vulnerable Mike Finley who's been on the show. We did take a minute to investigate it and mobile the clown again.

And we got tons of crazy Ghost meter pro energy off the thing the ghost meter pro is just in a complete freakout mode the entire time is by if you take it away from the box or from Popo the ghost meter pro just did nothing but you got it right next to the box and or the and or the Dibic box then basically the device was freaking out. We got lucky to energy off of both items but what was interesting is we didn't get a whole activity aside from that but Popo the clown in the box was moving around like crazy. That was that was weird I was holding the box and it didn't tap because you said you felt taps but it felt just like it was like you had a box with like some snakes and that or something because it was just kind of very slight wiggling but you know you could tell there was definitely something in there and then I didn't hold it for more than maybe three or four minutes but then I just felt dark and yucky I had to go get Michelle to clear me. Yeah I say and I had the taps and the kind of you could feel like shifting is probably the best word to use.

Yeah. You felt kind of shifting around but the most fascinating thing for me that happened at night. So we had the Popo the clown in the box and Mike Finley had a ping pong ball so I grabbed my ping pong ball and I said ping pong ball on the table and it was solid and steady and wasn't moving and I said Popo if you want this ping pong ball move the ping pong ball and there's writing on the ball and I was looking right at the writing and right as I said that the ball rolled about an eighth of an inch and just stopped dead. I mean it moved.

That's upsetting because I actually wanted to record the video record the investigation on that and I totally missed out on my chance to get something moving on video. Yeah the ball was solid as a rock I said move it. It moved. I mean it moved an eighth inch in fact three or four other people watched it and we all came up.

Oh my gosh. And then it just stopped dead it didn't like rolling keep rolling but it was a definite movement and there's a movement on command which was kind of fascinating. I think I take a ping pong ball to every residential I do and no one will move my ping pong ball. I've seen one rolling circles at a residential once.

Well it's fascinating for me with Popo is actually sitting in the hotel room with Jimmy and Peaches Popo is in the closet. The hotel actually had like an actual open door closet and he was on the top shelf and I could hear him thump around in the box while we were all sitting in the hotel room talking and I'm like do you hear that and Cam is just like oh yeah that's just Popo don't worry about it. Just don't sleep you'll be fine just don't go to sleep or take a shower or you'll see the axe murder standing outside the door just like it's on psycho. So that was kind of the paranormal explanation.

Just by the way I'm just going to warn you guys right now this is going to be a long show. So for those who say they want longer shows you're in luck because the show is going to be long because we're only we got a lot of material to cover and we're not even there yet. So that was that investigation and that was that. So real quick Tim let's talk about Stone of the Week.

Okay so the stone that I picked this week is one of my personal favorites and it's one of the top five that I recommend everyone get which is amethyst. One of the reasons why I like it other than it being purple because purple is an awesome color is that it's a very highly protective stone. One of the things that the stone can do is protect against negative energies. It's set to be able to pull in negative energy and actually release it back into the air's positive energy which is why it's created as a protective stone.

Some of the things it can do is it helps enhance psychic abilities and intuition. So they also assist in meditation and dream work. So it's recommended that if you want to meditate and kind of open up more and you're also if you're looking to break free from bad habits and other behaviors that kind of inhibit your lifestyle it's highly recommended that you meditate with amethyst just because it helps clear all that negative stuff. It helps get rid of some stress and helps bring peace and tranquility into your mind and to your home as well.

So there is our Stone of the Week amethyst and that's one of the most amethyst that's never expensive either and you can find it everywhere. And there's so many different types of amethyst too. I honestly have probably like six different pieces of amethyst and they're all different. I've got ametrine super seven amethyst and seven amethyst.

They all have different properties because some of the stones are mixed with other stones but just amethyst itself is the stone this week. Alright let's talk weird paranormal news. Now you guys are all like playgrounds today man everybody's like dying in coffin. I have not made a peep just so you know I'm over here feeling like I'm gonna suffocate.

Because peeps are gross. Yes they are. You guys suck. A little devil marshmallow things.

Alright speaking of devils. Weird paranormal news. Now my weird paranormal news story that I picked today and only did one because we like I said we do have a lot of material to cover and we haven't even scratched the surface of that yet. It's not even really paranormal and I actually picked this out and later saw somebody posted on the pod bash goblin site but we're gonna talk about it anyway.

But last week in Detroit the Cantrell funeral home was raided by police and the reason the police raided it is I got a tip that there were 11 babies bodies stashed up in the ceiling of the funeral home. So when police got there they arrived inside the funeral home went up a ladder. They found a cardboard box where I believe seven or eight of the bodies were located and they found a casket that had the remainder of the bodies inside the casket that were unburied bodies. Now the reason the funeral home had been closed down six months prior is because of violations that they had.

Apparently inspectors came through and found bodies covered in like mold and other embalmed bodies that were just in various states of decay that were just stored improperly including one that had some unknown fluid on its face. Not really paranormal per se but definitely creepy and weird and kind of makes you wonder what's going on with something like that. How do you like do people not realize that their family members aren't being buried like I don't understand how you get away with that. You know when I first read the story I would kind of think in the same thing and the only thing that makes any sense to me whatsoever would be either like unclaimed transient bodies, like on a state contract where the state takes them to the funeral home and they don't dispose improperly they're supposed to be cremated or buried and they're not.

My other thought is that people are taking these you know infants in or what not to be cremated and the funeral home is basically giving them a bag full of cement dust and ashes from the fireplace and saying here's your ashes and going huh we saved 50 bucks by not cremating that body. So I get the ceiling with the rest that's the only thing I can think of that makes sense. So I actually might have a little bit of an answer for you and this is completely coincidental because I didn't know you were doing the story but Silent Non and I will watch these creepy things. Yeah I got an answer because I've got baby stuff to my own attic.

I know I do not but we watched you know like these shows on YouTube you know the 10 creepy things and one of them was 10 creepy things in Marchuaries and I don't know if this is the same Marchuary or if it's a different one but there was one of them somewhere where you'd pay the funeral home to embalom or to cremate your baby and they wouldn't they would take the money and use it for something else and they would just stash the baby somewhere the other body somewhere else until the family that they that they did it and I don't know what you know they give them fireplace ash but I don't know if it's the same one or not but there's an answer for you. That seems like the most logical reason to me like I said not really paranormal for say but creepy and and I don't want to see this show for the most part it's going to be a creepy show less paranormal more creepy on this particular episode. But it's not told we can talk about creepy stuff. Like my little my little raven on my microphone.

Has it also said yet? No it's still there. No it's I think it's missing a leg but we can make it visit head will be like that. We found in the one building that I got attacked him.

Alright so let's talk recent investigation so we talked about the part English hard we talked about the recent paranormal ex-pole investigation. The end what have you got for us as far as recent investigations go? So since we talked last we've had two investigations one was just the typical residential where someone called they had some issues with light-straining off and on they shadow play they had one of the bedrooms upstairs everyone in the house just said was really creepy you know and enough that they decided to call us and we actually investigated it was either her mother or her aunt's home or maybe her mother and her aunt. So we went we did some EDP work we got I don't know if we got EDP's haven't listened to me yet but we got several hits on the K2 meter we were getting consistent answers to the ghost meter.

So we actually called one of the mediums and had them cross them over and there's one that wanted to stay there was a female spirit and she was attached to the property somehow and she just a type one she just kind of wanted to be acknowledged so everyone in the home was happy with her saying as long as she didn't scare him so there was that one. The other one we had a reporter from one of the local newspapers call and wanted to go on an investigation with us. I'm just gonna add it because the article is out there so it's the Daily Herald in Utah County. Yes.

In fact it was a front page story. And it was gonna be the front page that was kind of cool. So anyway I was a little nervous taking your reporter I thought this will be the time we take him and it's gonna be a full on demon and he's gonna get possessed and jump off a cliff or something I thought that'd be great. Cool.

So I thought I want this one to be a little bit more controlled so my nail lady. When I go get my nails done she always tells me she sees a shadow play. When I go in there I can feel a female spirit that we've named Saraya and so I knew that there was something there. So we took some investigators over went to her home and we actually found two spirits.

One was the female but I can feel when we go over there and she was a very timid older woman but we found back in her she has like a cold storage downstairs. Turns out that one of her Chinese ancestors was in there just kind of hung out and was a protector and it was kind of neat because she got really emotional about it and Mike was there with the Dowsing Rods and we were getting really good Dowsing Rod activity and got some very consistent answers and it was a really fun investigation probably one of the more fun ones we've done even though it was a little bit controlled in a way. And by controlled I just mean we know that there was nothing demonic there. You weren't taking me into it just an unknown.

I'd say I'd be more re-retaking reporter into a house where nothing happened than the whole spinning of the head and spinning pea soup scenario. But we did do Benson Grissmill a couple of days ago. Let's talk about Benson Grissmill. I'll kind of start out with what I had and I'll let you guys run with the stuff that you guys had.

And then I had a really cool experience in the barn. But we had a couple of investigators show up late and I was giving them a tour of the property after we'd split into groups and there's a bridge just to the west of the big mill. And it's been reported, I know Chung has talked about it on his show. Anybody who's been there with us has talked about it that there's a Native American spirit or some kind of spirit there that kind of watches over in regards to that bridge and doesn't necessarily like people coming over that bridge without asking permission or being polite.

And one of the people I had with me, I know her, she used to investigate with us quite a bit and I know that she's sensitive and so I intentionally didn't really warn her what was going on with the bridge. I just said there's usually Native American spirit. Thanks, that right here is about all I told her. And we walked over the bridge to the west towards the schoolhouse and as we got over the other side of the bridge, I heard pissed.

I heard it just that clear right in my ears and I thought it was the woman who's right behind me, the one who's sensitive, I thought she was feeling the way that Native American spirit feels. And so I turned and said what did you say? She goes, I didn't say anything. And the woman behind her, I said well did you say anything to her?

I didn't say anything. And I thought it was her saying that she could feel that he was pissed. But I heard it playing his day. I mean it was crystal clear.

For me, I also later that night went to the telegraph office with Elle and we were in there sitting at the front end and near the back end of the telegraph office we could see all kinds of shadow play. In fact at one point she goes did I just get darker and I was watching it and had. I was just thinking the same thing as she said. We asked what was there if it could show itself and it got darker just in that area and just for a minute it was coming in and out as far as darkness and light in that room.

The back of the room was white and you could fade out from not white to white again back to dark. And then Elle just went down to her skin when an orb came right at her. She jumped on the, I said what was that? She goes I said I'm an orb.

It came right at me. It was really cool. And we ended up seeing a couple more orbs there in the telegraph office. What was interesting though was the rest of the night we had a report from everybody on stuff that happened.

I don't think I talked to a single person that night and I made it up to talk to everybody I could as they were leaving and every single person reported some kind of activity that night. Tim and I were in the barn talking to a spirit and I thought I could feel it kind of up in the loft ahead of us. And I told Tim I said I think it's right there and right as I said that I saw a shadow above our heads, zipped against the wall right behind us. As I said that Tim kind of paused and goes no it's behind us up above.

But actually saw the shadow goes up and on the wall. Yeah I didn't know you had seen the shadow. I just, I felt the energy of the spirit right above us. And after you mentioned that I'm like that's interesting.

That's kind of cool. I wish I had seen it. Because I was just more like focused on trying to fill the energy of the room. I don't remember what you said before I entered the barn but that thing was not happy with you.

Yeah I really miss Lurch. I have an I miss Lurch moment and so I kind of didn't Lurch's shoes and was asking why that particular type three just hung out in the barn. It was not happy with me. It was not happy.

So yeah tell me about some of the experiences that you and your groups had. So I had a group of about ten and not a single one of them had ever been ghost hunting before. Which was kind of fun. And I took them to kind of my little favorite places.

You know we got a lot of, we went to the what I like to call the loom room. Which is where the, you know they've got the loom where they weave stuff on. I always get a lot of activity in there. So we started in there.

We got some good flashlight plays, some good K2 play. But I think for us, for our group in particular when we went down to the fire pit one of the guys saw red eyes. Most everybody was hearing some footsteps or we heard some audible voices. We couldn't tell what they said but we heard audible voices.

When we got to the barn which was our last rotation. One of the gals got really sick, we were kind of busy so we had her go to the command center. Me personally when I got to, when it was all over most of the people in gun it was just us from apps and wisps kind of hanging around making sure everybody was out and kind of cleaning up. I went off to the bathroom when I was walking back.

You know there was the pavilion that was all lit up. Beyond the pavilion there's a little semi circle of cabins where the barn is as you're walking from the bathroom on the right hand side. And it wasn't, I don't want to say it was a full body apparition because I didn't see head or arms but it was a big white mist kind of people sized. And it just floated kind of from the one end of the semi circle.

And when I say floated as though it was a person walking. I mean it was about that speed and about that height. Just kind of walked about halfway to the barn and then it disappeared. And so I thought that was pretty cool.

And I know that Don you let a group and I think you guys had some activity too. Can you talk about the activity of your group? Yeah we had people that were mostly experienced or wanted to that were with some friends that had never been. That had never done it before.

It investigated before. But most of the people in my group were pretty experienced investigators. We had some really good orbs caught on camera. We had one person who took it and then would take a series of three or four shots in a row which is the suggested way to do it.

And in a couple of them you could see nothing and then an orb and then it moved a little bit in the section shot and then the four shot it was gone. Those kinds of things and they were pretty good. And lots of times and venues you think oh it's an insect or it's this or it's that and it's that. It was cold enough that night there weren't insects out.

We weren't fighting mosquitoes. There weren't those kinds of things. It was pretty compelling video evidence. I think he came over and showed you Gary.

I actually saw a video of an orb as well that somebody captured. Overall I think it's one of the most active nights we've had at Vincer's. Like I said I didn't talk to a single guest that didn't see something. I know that Tim says welcome to the Pavilion.

But a small mothy and blanket over him is that Tim don't die of hypothermia. So I don't know if Tim's eyes pierced the bell and is way written out between life and death. But tell us if you have any experience with Tim? I'm going to walk around a little bit with Kate.

And I don't remember the one gentleman that had on video. He had an EVP of his spirit saying hello I believe. I can't remember exactly what I said but I know he showed you the video. Yeah I heard it was clear we did get some EVPs out of that particular one as well.

Because he did play they were down. I want to see they were in the how do I get down room. And I think in fact not to be the kid is actually asking how do I get down there or something along those lines. Or where do I get down or something like that.

Same thing and he got a hay or a high or something like that. Yeah it was very clear too. Like you just played off the speaker on his phone. We didn't even have to get up to a Bluetooth speaker.

You can hear it playing his day. It was high quality EVP. So I did have walking around with Kate. We both kind of felt a pull towards the big mill.

There's a spirit there named Kyle that absolutely does not like me. Because there was a couple times ago we were there. And he was kind of picking on Elle and I got mad at him and I told him to leave her alone. Ever since then he's kind of frustrated with me.

For some reason he keeps trying to get me on the bass and the barn by myself. Hey Tim you want to go on the bass and barn with me? Yeah. So I did.

And with Kate and we saw someone take a hold and go down there by herself. And I'm like well she probably shouldn't be there by herself. And the spirit's like haha I wanted you came down and I'm like not because of anything you did. But we kind of both felt like a negative entity just like showed up.

Because there's like this little crawl space. And what I found interesting was I had showed Kate and something that Brandy had taught me and that's how to manifest like a metaphysical crystal in my hand. So basically like because of the abilities that I have and the work I do with crystals. Like I absorb all the energy anytime I touch a stone.

Basically I absorb that stone's energy and it's just a part of me now. And Peach just can do this as well. But we can basically if we imagine the stone in our hand we can actually kind of draw the shape in a clockwise direction and kind of just manifest that stone in our hands when we need it if we don't actually have the stone with us. So what I had done is when this negative entity was coming towards us I had envisioned a piece of obsidian in my hand and I just kind of traced my hand in a circle clockwise and just kind of imagined myself pulling a piece of obsidian out of my hand.

And when I did that Kate just goes holy cow he didn't like that. And I go he didn't like what? And he's like that stone he just pulled out and I go what's done did I pull out. Because I didn't tell Kate what I was trying to do or anything.

He's like that obsidian holding your hand. He doesn't like that. And I thought that was fascinating because like I am still learning how to do that. It's still kind of a new thing for me.

I didn't tell Kate what stone I was trying to manifest and he was able to tell me exactly what it was. And we both felt the spear kind of back office as I did that which to me was kind of fascinating. I know there's probably going to be other people out there that don't believe that that something can actually happen. But for me having Kate confirm the stone that I was trying to manifest without me actually telling him what stone I was trying to work with.

You know you actually remind me of another story that one of our guests told me as they were leaving and they said they were in the mail and they're on the I want to say second floor and I was trying to go upstairs. And as he tried to go upstairs he was physically stopped. Like he said he was like walking into brick wall he couldn't walk up. He couldn't walk down.

He just kind of trapped there for a minute and he said it was a strange sensation that he could not move. And he said that he kind of felt like something was stopping him from going upstairs because they didn't want him to go upstairs for whatever reason. And that's when I kind of looked at him when I go. First off I said one of you two is because there's two guys.

Two guys. And I said one of you is very sensitive and you have a lot of experiences before this ever coming here and the one guy's like yeah I do all the time and he's the one that was stopped. And then I go the spirit that stopped you was trying to protect you. And the response from these two guys was just awesome because they both lit up and they're like that's exactly what the spirit told us.

It was trying to protect us. And like this is the only conversation I had with these two guys. You walked in with a conversation and they were both just awestruck. I'm just like yeah the spirit was trying to protect you.

And they're like holy cow that's exactly what we got from our investigation. It was trying to protect us. So really the take way everybody should have this is the Benson Gris Mill was amazing. I've never had a bad experience at the Benson Gris Mill.

No this one though is particularly notable and how awesome it was. Yes. Which actually after that experience I'm really looking for that for Douglas investigation we have coming up on the 27th and to see what stories were able to glean from that investigation what experiences people are going to have. I have a feeling it's going to be a good one.

Alright so let's get on with our topic. We've kind of been doing well for a while. We haven't even tipped on our topic yet. That's okay.

We're going to still page out of the radio run in the book starting this episode. And we're going to do an apps poll. That's what we're going to call it. You can find it on the advanced paranormal.com or the advanced paranormal Facebook page.

We'll also post it on the podcast on the page as well. But our first app poll that we're going to post this week is going to be what is your favorite. What's your killer creep to you out the most and why. Which is going to lead us into our topic this week which is Jack the Ripper.

Now I know you guys are all sitting in your cars or your home or wherever it is you guys listen to this going why on earth the time Jack the Ripper it's not paranormal and you are correct sir or madam or whatever you identify as. It is not paranormal. But some of the things that you guys said you wanted to hear more is kind of scary stories in my opinion. The story of Jack the Ripper is quite frightening and quite gruesome as well.

So there might be some stuff that we talk about during the segment that might not be suitable for children. Yeah this actually if you have kids listening this might be a good time to end the episode. Go back to Censford for Douglas and see you next time. But if you're still here you can shoot the kids away and we'll continue.

Basically one of the directions we're going to take the show one of the kind of things we got from everybody is you guys like the scary stories. So we're going to focus more on that kind of stuff. We may dig into scary folklore. We're still supernatural.

We're still going to be talking about ghosts and paranormal but you are going to get more stuff like this. Which this time around is going to be Jack the Ripper. And you know what? Fascinating topic.

I'm familiar with Jack the Ripper. I dug in a little bit deeper than I ever had before on some of the stuff I learned. And you know interestingly enough it's a really mundane serial killer case. I mean I can go with the library and find 101 serial killers.

But some of the facts and just some of the unknowns about this case and some of the... There's just a special something about this case that makes it really fascinating. Right for me even though we're talking about this topic today. If I were to answer our own poll it would be Jack the Ripper.

And for me it's so fascinating and so creepy one because it's a time period. Two it was so gruesome and three they have no idea who did it. Which just adds kind of mystery to it. And because of the mystery it just kind of makes it bigger and bigger.

I don't know but this one is my favorite. I think it's fascinating. The research I did. I mean like you're right they have no idea who Jack the Ripper actually was.

And throughout the hundred and somewhat years it's been since Jack the Ripper happened. There's been over a hundred different suspects that they thought it possibly could have been. Including one of them being the Queen's nephew who supposedly impregnated somebody. And they were attempting to cover up the whole thing and they were having anyone that knew about the pregnancy being killed.

Which to me is funny because that seems like one of the more far-fetched suspects. I'm going to talk about two that to me make the most sense but I'll do that near the end of the segment. But let's kind of paint a picture for everybody of the time, the era and the locale where this happened. Tim tell us a little bit about White Castle England.

So basically where all this took place was on the east end of London. Which is a very poverty poverty. Poverty. Poverty.

Thank you. Poverty stricken. Basically it's the part of the town where the immigrants went. There was a lot of Jewish immigrants that were escaping from Russia.

But it's also just like where all the really poor people lived. There was apparently people were so poor that in order to just get a bed or a double bed in a common house cost like eight pence. And just to get a single bed was like four pence. And a lot of people didn't even have money to do that.

They said that there was some places where it was so overcrowded and so poor that they had ropes lined up. Kind of like a line like a Disneyland or whatever. And people were literally lined up standing up sleeping because that was the only way that they could get out of the environment. And actually be inside where it was warm.

Some people that did have money. They were so depressed because of the area and just the way things were where they lived. They would spend their money basically drinking all night. And so there was a lot of crime and violence that went on in the city because of just how poor the conditions, the living conditions were.

Which led to the part where there was really no work for women. And so a lot of women in order to make money turned to prostitution. And they said that at one point in time that there was over like 1100 prostitutes just in this little area alone. Yeah, the White Castle District of London.

Yeah, and it was full of brothels, opium dens, violence, disease because there was no clean water. They said that you would hear people cry out murder all the time and not even with bad and I because it happened all the time. Yeah, and just really awful conditions. So the first murder that actually happened happened, I believe it was August 31st of 1888.

And the body was discovered at 3.40 in the morning. And that victim was Mary Ann Nichols who was a 43 year old woman. That was the first confirmed murder of Jack the Ripper. There was actually two murders that happened earlier in that year.

One in April. Some people credit Jack the Ripper for that one, but most historians will say what happened was this was one of the prostitutes that owed some money to a gang or something. And she was actually beaten and violated by the gang and died from her injuries. And then there was another victim after that.

Her name was, let's see Martha Tabernon, that they think might have been a Jack the Ripper's first victim, but they're not 100% sure. The one that they do think that was the actual first victim is Mary Nichols. Right, it's interesting because you do the research. There's so many murders in that area, so prolific with crime and violence that there are what are considered canon murders and non canon murders.

Non canon murders being those that they're not sure and the canon murders being those that they attribute to Jack the Ripper. And there's only five of those. And even those, there's some question as to whether all five of those are actually really his, but everybody seems to agree that they probably are. I'm just going to name the victim real quick and we'll kind of talk about where they were found and what state.

But the first was Mary Ann Nichols who died at 43 years old. Annie Chapman was the second Elizabeth Stride at 44 years old. They mentioned Annie Chapman was 47. Yes, I think you did.

I forget. Catherine Eddows at 47 and then the last one was Mary Jane Kelly at age 25. And those are the five that they officially attribute to Jack the Ripper. Well, these all happened from starting on August 31st to November 9th in 1888.

And one of the things that kind of caught people's attention on this is like the year prior, there'd only been like six deaths in this district. And people were kind of used to the deaths because it wasn't uncommon for basically a prostitute to be beaten and dying from those injuries. The thing that set these apart is one that they were so close together, but also the brutality of the murders. Oh, yeah, these murders were painless.

Right. And like with any serial killer, they have another signature and all five of these canonized ones per se had the same method as it were, except for one. But the one, like it's part of it, the method and they kind of figured that he got interrupted. Right.

Now one would actually be a little bit Stride, which they think is his. But we'll get into that in just a minute. So let's focus on Mary Ann Nichols first. Now, Mary Ann Nichols died at 43 years old.

She's discovered on Friday, August 31st, 1888 at about 3 40 in the morning. Now her throat had been cut with two cuts, very severe, almost to the spine. The lower part of her abdomen was ripped open by a deep jagged wound. And so several other incisions of her abdomen were caused by the same knife.

Now, if you investigate and research some of this, this is the one where the one suspect, his name is, oh, last name is crossed or I have it written down here. Charles Lemire, he also went by Cross. He was actually found at this murder scene, but he wasn't ever officially investigated. And doing some of the research into it and some of the theories that people put forward, he actually makes a very compelling suspect.

And we'll get into that in just a little bit. But this was the first one that was discovered was Mary Ann Nichols. She's offered her to his poly-nichols. She was found on the side of the road by Charles Lemire and another gentleman.

They went to go find a policeman at which time she, her body was discovered by another policeman. And that's kind of when it's all started. Now, the second victim we have is Annie Chapman. Tim, are you prepared to talk about Annie Chapman?

Sure. Tell us about Annie Chapman. See, it says that it was September 8th in 1888, the body was discovered in the backyard on 29th Handbrae Street, less than a mile away from Buck's road over the previous murder. Mary Ann Nichols had taken place just at, these were only a week apart.

See, she was identified as Annie Chapman and at this time, violence had escalated with the killer having removed and had taken her womb out of her body. So he didn't just like slit her throat and his mouth, he actually removed her womb. Right, her entire abdomen slashed open and actually her uterus and womb were just completely gone. And this is kind of one of the hallmarks of Jack the River that makes him so interesting because a lot of the suspects they were looking at, they started looking at doctors, butchers, people in mortuary work because some of the surgical precision used to it.

Medical professionals and stuff like that. They removed some of these organs the way they were moved. They thought it had to be somebody who knew anatomy well enough to be able to remove those. Anybody who's ever got it a trout or a deer or something like that, when you cut something like that open, there's just a big mass of guts in there.

You don't know really what's what. And to try and go in and remove specific parts without knowledge of anatomy, that's kind of a daunting task. Yeah, I mean, and that's one of the things that with the serial killers, they all usually have their signature. And that's one of the ways they kind of put these in the canonized ones is they were missing body parts.

It's always, he took them for a trophy. In some cases he would take the heart. And it's kind of interesting that you mentioned a trophy and I didn't take a whole lot of notes on this part, but there were several hundreds of letters sent to the police and the press, some on advice on how to catch the ripper, some on who he possibly was, and some purporting to be the ripper. There's three letters that they actually think may have been from Jack the Ripper.

And I'll... Well, and before those letters were ever released, I mean with the death of Annie Chapman, they did find a freshly washed leather apron near the body. And so at this time, again, because the identity was unknown and currently still is, they started referring to this particular killer as Leather Apron. And they actually did arrest a local man named John Pizer as the leather apron.

He was whether they're suspect, but due to the lack of evidence, he was kind of acquitted and released. And I believe he also helped investigate the death of Annie Chapman after that. Yeah, there's a lot of suspects that were actually arrested and then later released for lack of evidence. So next up we have Elizabeth Stride.

Oh, I forgot. I was going to mention the letters. And one of the letters that they think is authentic, he talked about basically eating half of one of the kidneys. In fact, they called that the Hill Letter where he said that he had eaten half of one of the kidneys, and they think that letter is authentic.

Quite possibly. The letters didn't come until after the five murders, though. That was later on. Correct.

So let's talk a little bit about Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddows. Those two murders happened, they believe within about 45 minutes of each other. And it looks like Elizabeth Stride. And that's one where experts have been kind of unsure whether or not she was a copycat murder or a second murder.

The two theories on that is that the river killed Elizabeth Stride, got interrupted because her body didn't have nearly damage to it that other river victims had. But then another body was found 45 minutes later, a few blocks away that was definitely a river victim. Let's talk about those just a little bit. The first one was Elizabeth Stride.

She was found by a gentleman named Lewis Dimeschutz. As he was turning down a dark alley, he found the body just laying there. And in this case, like you said, they think that he might have been interrupted because this particular woman's throat was slit. But there's no other signs of mutilation or anything like that.

So they think that he was interrupted and he didn't get a chance to actually do what he normally did. And then like you said, it was 45 minutes later at 1.45 AM that they found Catherine Eddows. Now, Catherine's throat was severed almost all the way to the spine. Her abdomen was also opened by long deep jagged wound.

And her left kidney in a major part of her uterus had been removed as well. Now, one thing to note with all these river victims, and each killing got a little bit more and more brutal with the exception of Stride, who they think was either interrupted or it was a copycat murder. But he would cartle onto the faces. There's a little excess carved into the face.

And one of the murders, and I don't recall which one it is. Maybe you guys can help me out. He actually cut off the nose. On the video I was watching earlier too, they mentioned that in one of the victims, it's not listed here in my notes, but I don't remember them talking about one of the women that he disemboweled.

He basically took her insides and struck it over her shoulder. This dude was seriously messed up. I think that was Eddle's that he'd done that with. Now, the next and last victim that they attributed to the river was Mary Jane Kelly.

And she was the youngest of the victims. She was 25 years old. And this one was hands down the most grotesque of all the river murders that were out there. So Mary Jane Kelly was discovered in the room that she rented.

The rent collector actually came and discovered her at 10.45 am on Friday, November 1888. Excuse me. Her throat had been slid down to the spine. Her abdomen had been almost completely empty of all the organs.

Her heart was missing completely. And all the muscle, meat and skin were completely removed from her thighs. So she didn't have any, it was just down to the bone between the knees and her hip area. I believe her breasts were cut off.

She was just completely mutilated. One of the things that said was with his murders, you can tell that there was just a complete disrespect for just the female gender in general, the way he did this. It's like he hated women altogether. For my notes here, it actually says that she was so horribly disfigured, the only way that they could identify her was her lover had been able to come down and identify her by her eyes and her ears.

That was the only thing that I guess left intact that they were able to use as a positive ID so they knew who the victim actually was. Yeah, I described that the room was completely covered in blood. Just a really grisly grisly murder. In fact, as I was researching this topic, it could get a little bit more in depth information.

I actually ran across an actual police photo of this particular murderer. I did too. And a grand of these photos were from 1888, so they're not as graphic as a photo taken today would be. But for an 1888 photo, it was pretty graphic.

Yeah, when I was looking up, they had photos of the victims and most of them show their face and kind of the Victorian porsmotum type pictures, but that one was very disturbing. Now, what was fascinating is that after Mary Jane Kelly, the murders essentially stopped. There were four other murders that happened after the thought might be the Ripper, but I think they later determined they were either different suspects or they didn't meet the MO. But the murders just suddenly stopped.

So there's the five murders and then really nothing else that they could attribute to the Ripper. And this is kind of where the mystery happens because why did they stop? Because most serial killers don't just stop. They're either getting incarcerated, committed to the Sanus Island.

They die either by suicide or get killed. Unless you're maybe possibly doing some kind of ritualistic work that you believe you're doing. Once you've completed the ritual, then there's no point in continuing killing. That's true.

But there's also been theories that you could have immigrated. There's a lot of different theories as to why. And I like the image. I don't know that I like it.

I find the immigration one interesting because in doing the research, there was a photo on one of the pages that I was researching where based on, you know, I witnessed this. I want to say eyewitnesses, you know, people that had seen these women with other people, you know, shortly before their death. And they actually came up with a photo based on all these descriptions, you know, composite photo of what they think that Jack the Ripper looks like. And it looks kind of Italian.

Now, here's where we get into interesting stuff. Suspects. And I'm sure that in your research, everybody here has heard about different suspects. There were some suspects at the time.

There were some suspects that the pressure really liked. There were some suspects that pleased really liked. There's been suspects that had been kind of figured out in modern times. In the late 1900s, people were putting forth suspects that were later determined not to be legitimate suspects.

I'm kind of curious to hear who all you think was the Ripper based on your research and why you think that person may have been the Ripper if you have somebody. I actually do. I actually have two things that kind of fit in with this. And the first was more a theory.

And it kind of goes back to where it was such a poor, poor area. And the more I researched it, the more I thought, maybe this is not, you know, why it happened. But I do find it interesting. Yes, it's not a clause.

Can I have a bad red red theory? It was such a depressed area. And all the brothels and the opm-dans like we talked about before, that most of the elite society or even the middle class society was completely unaware of. Because they didn't have news and you usually didn't wander around in these areas.

And one of the theories was that someone did this just strictly to bring awareness to what was going on in this area for people who might be able to help do something about it. There's an extreme activism for you right there. Anyway, I found that interesting. And I don't know if it's true or not, but I thought that's an interesting theory.

Now, as far as actually who? Excuse me. And I didn't write his name down. But it was the man that they called Leather Apron because they did say that they found some other aprons.

And he would hang around prostitutes and threaten them with a knife. And then he would say, and they quoted, they would say if they didn't give him the money, he would rip them apart. And I know that the ripper ripped them apart. I don't know, but that one seemed of the ones that I read, that one to me made the most sense.

Because he hung out with the prostitutes, wore Leather Apron. He threatened them. Well, what I find interesting with that one is they actually didn't use the moniker, Jack the Ripper, until after the first four murders. Someone had actually milled in a letter to the police, basically taking credit for the murders.
