Drummer Jack Thomas lost his arm in a horrific industrial accident at just 17 years old, and was back behind the kit one week later! Jack shares the unbelievable story of how he survived the accident, realized his arm was gone, and somehow started air-drumming to Primus while still on the factory floor. He explains how Def Leppard’s Rick Allen and Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy inspired him to rebuild his technique, and how that led to his viral one-armed drum videos and appearance on Canada’s Got Talent (introduced by Trish Stratus!). Jack talks about mirror therapy, phantom limb pain, and learning to play guitar, bass, and even hockey again.
