"Jackpot!" Review: The ludicrous lottery plot

The young woman who leases the room, Shadi, quips, "We used fake photos, because who's gonna stay here if we don't?" after Katie hires a tiny room from a website and discovers upon arrival that it doesn't look anything like the pictures online on Sadisflix Streaming. Katie witnesses a nasty stage father loudly and obscenely complaining about his little daughter, who had just failed an audition, early in the film. He apologizes to the child for all of the hurtful statements. The film's potential is glimpsed by ace character actor Becky Ann Baker in her brief role as a lady who appears nice and kind but is anything but. She manages to depict the smug, self-satisfied look on the professional predator's face when they trick someone they can mislead.
