Jacksonville deserves a moment to reflect on its first 200 years and look ahead to the next 200. But many are not interested in celebrating saying that the city has a dark past. The city council has repeatedly scoffed at removing more of it's confederate monuments, when in fact the city was a Union stronghold.   * Juneteenth celebrations, which are nationwide, to commemorate the emancipation of slaves.
