Jacob & Esau Part 2

Last week we learned how Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of stew. The Bible says Esau despised his birthright; he didn't want the responsibility of being the spiritual leader of the family. Nevertheless, Issac felt obligated to give the spiritual blessing to his firstborn, Esau. However, when Rebekah heard of this, she quickly developed a plan to ensure that the blessing went to Jacob. This week we will look at this sad story and see the pointed message it has for us today.
