Jacob Flees, Disciples Sent

Jacob flees Laban, wrestles with God at the Jabbok, and receives a new name, while Jesus sends the twelve into danger with a promise that the Spirit will speak in them as we read. Today's readings are Genesis thirty-one and thirty-two, and Matthew ten. Read along in your own Bible every day and keep the reading plan moving forward. Scripture includes mature themes including threats of violence, family conflict, and warnings of persecution. If this reading is helping you, please follow, rate, and share so others can find their place in the story too.
