Jacob: The Struggle for Blessing #4 - The Fight of Your Life

Jacob fears Esau is coming to kill him and spends the night alone, where God wrestles him into weakness. A light touch disables Jacob's hip, and resistance becomes dependence as he clings to God for blessing. Church community matters, but it cannot replace knowing God personally. God makes Himself weak enough for Jacob to live, while Jesus later bears the full weight of justice on the cross.
