Jacques van Embden | Part 02 - Property Disruptor

In this episode we sit down with Jacques van Embden, the current founder and CEO of Blok, a residential property development business with 18 developments under its belt. Blok is a branded residential real estate developer selling themselves to the market. Prior to receiving a Masters in Architecture from the University of Cape town in 2008, Jacques already knew that property was his true calling. The tools of his degree equipped him with a spatial knowledge and understanding that drives his everyday thinking.  Having worked on many projects in an architectural capacity, Jacques spotted an opportunity in the property market and in 2010 founded Prime Point Properties, and later, Prime Letting Services. Ten years ago, in 2014, Jacques started his current venture, Blok, of which he is now solely focused as the founder and CEO. He is an inspiring entrepreneur, and in this episode, he shares some of the invaluable wisdom he has learnt during his property career from both his mentors and his own experience.
