Jaguars Practice Squad Build Deep Dive | Jacksonville News

The Jaguars are assembling a deep, strategic practice squad for the new season — a vital pipeline to the main roster. With two last year’s practice squad players making the final 53, this group is more than just depth; it’s a launchpad. QB Joey Aguilar and RB J’mari Taylor lead the charge on offense, while TE Patrick Herbert remains the internal tight end option. The offensive line boasts Ricky Lee, Jerome Carvin, and rookie Jimto Obidegwu, with Kilian Zierer eyed for the international spot. Wideouts Trebor Peña and Michael Wortham show promise, as does special teams contributor Tim Jones. On defense, Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig returns with renewed momentum, while cornerbacks Jabbar Muhammad and Preston Hodge, and linebackers Jack Kiser and Jalen McLeod (both waived from the active roster) could be re-signed. Defensive linemen Jalen Hunt and T.J. Bollers, who impressed in preseason, round out a squad brimming with potential.
