Buchanan entered an Alford plea as part of a plea agreement that resulted in a 103-year sentence, with all but 38 years and 7 months suspended. During our conversation, Buchanan discusses the circumstances surrounding the killing, his relationship with his stepfather, and why he says he was afraid of him.
