Jainism (HINDI/हिंदी में)
from SyllabuswithRohit · host SyllabuswithRohit
Welcome to our video on Jainism, an ancient Indian religion that teaches us how to live with peace, respect, and kindness. In this video, we will explore some of the most important concepts of Jainism, such as Ahimsa (non-violence), Anekantavada (multiple viewpoints), and Aparigraha (non-possession).What is Jainism?Jainism is more than 2,500 years old and was founded by Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara (spiritual teacher). It is a religion that teaches us to live a life full of compassion and understanding. Jainism believes in Ahimsa, which means we should not harm any living being, not just physically but also in our thoughts and words. This principle of non-violence is key to a peaceful life. The Power of AhimsaAhimsa is not just about avoiding physical harm. It means that we should also be kind and non-violent in our speech and actions. Jain monks practice this deeply by not harming even the smallest insects. They often cover their mouths with cloth to avoid accidentally harming tiny creatures and take great care when walking to avoid stepping on any living being. We can also practice Ahimsa in our daily lives by being kind to others and not using hurtful words.Understanding AnekantavadaJainism also teaches us Anekantavada, which means that there can be multiple truths or viewpoints. Just like two people can see the same thing but understand it differently, Anekantavada tells us that everyone's view of the world is valid. For example, imagine a glass of water. One person might say it is half-full, and another might say it is half-empty. Both are right in their own way! This teaches us to respect others’ opinions and understand that our truth may not be the only truth.Aparigraha: Living with LessAnother important principle of Jainism is Aparigraha, or non-possession. This means that we should live simply and not hold on to more than what we need. Mahavira taught that when we have fewer things, we can focus more on our spiritual growth. Jain monks practice this by giving up all material possessions. Even though we might not live like monks, we can still practice Aparigraha by avoiding greed and living a life of simplicity. How Can We Practice Jainism in Daily Life?In today’s world, Jainism’s teachings are still relevant. By practicing Ahimsa, we can create a more peaceful and loving environment. When we face conflicts, Anekantavada helps us see other people’s points of view, making us more understanding and tolerant. And by following Aparigraha, we can reduce our attachment to material things and focus on what truly matters—our inner peace and happiness. Conclusion:Jainism gives us tools to live a meaningful and ethical life. Ahimsa teaches us to be kind and non-violent, Anekantavada encourages us to respect others’ viewpoints, and Aparigraha reminds us to live simply. These principles are not just ancient ideas but practical ways to improve our lives today.Thank you for watching!#Jainism #Ahimsa #NonViolence #Anekantavada #Aparigraha #Mahavira #Spirituality #Peace #Mindfulness #Philosophy #SimpleLiving #AncientWisdom #Respect #Compassion #Kindness #SelfDiscipline #Truth #Simplicity
