Jalen Welch Commits to Syracuse

Jalen Welch, a three-star defensive back from Grayson High School, has committed to Syracuse University, choosing the Orange over 20+ offers. His official visit sealed the deal, and he’s excited about Syracuse’s rising program under head coach Fran Brown. Known as a “ball hawk” for his speed and coverage, Welch helped his team go 12-0 last season with 36 tackles and 2 interceptions. His addition boosts Syracuse’s already strong 2027 class, now ranked 37th nationally with 18 commitments. Welch’s future with the Orange is bright — and we’re watching closely.
