Jamali are back and this time, it really is full circle.

After 13 years away from the studio, iconic South African trio Jamali are back! Danny Guselli chats to Jacqui Carpede about the reunion with Mariechan Luiters and Liesl Penniken, what it was really like getting back into the studio together, and why the timing felt right for a Jamali comeback. Jacqui also gets candid and funny about the stories behind the trio, their friendship, who sends the longest voice notes, what happens when three strong personalities get back together, and whether anything has changed after all these years. Plus, we talk about their brand-new music, including their Afro-infused comeback single “Ohema” and their new EP Full Circle, which sees Jamali embracing a fresh sound while keeping the harmonies that made them South African favourites.
