He graduated top of his class and became an estimator, contributing to the shipyard’s commercial growth. Once, though, he ran afoul of the company’s strict ‘no long hair’ policy. He married Jamidah from Jalan Pasir Ria, ran an engineering consultancy for two years and continues to work today.
