As Pastor Richard expressed through that profound C.S. Lewis quote, this life, in this sinful world, leaves all of us wanting. We catch momentary glimpses of peace, joy, and contentment, but when we try to hold on to them, they slip away. God allows this discontent and suffering not because He’s cruel, but because it draws our attention towards Him. He uses these experiences to show us that He is indeed the only source of hope and peace.
