The whistleblower worked for the House Intelligence Committee which, at the time, was led by Schiff. 3:15pm- On Monday, President Donald Trump announced a 30-day federal takeover of Washington D.C.’s police department—while simultaneously deploying 800 National Guard troops—to fight violent crime in the nation’s capital. At the White House press briefing, Trump announced Attorney General Pam Bondi will oversee the federal takeover—while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will provide military support “if needed.” Additionally, the administration will assign 120 F.B.I. agents to conduct nighttime patrols throughout Washington D.C. 3:40pm- While appearing on Newsmax, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said former President Bill Clinton is a “prime suspect” in the Jeffrey Epstein case. The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Bill and Hillary Clinton—seeking testimony for the committee’s Epstein investigation. Hillary has been asked to appear for testimony on October 9th, while Bill has been asked to appear on October 14th.
