Project from March 2017, utilizing the Roland GAIA SH-01, and the Arturia Drumbrute(with supplemental beats from Beatport). The primary synth voice here on the GAIA reminded me immediately of some of the moody sounds from Simple Minds' "New Gold Dream" album (which was a mainstay in my teenage years), so when it came time to name this piece, I chose part of a line from one of that album's key songs, "Big Sleep" "We were on the top and the world was spinning, We were only young in the whirlpool of warning. Communication lost in the thundering rain style"
