The former EMT-Paramedic is a Bayou Chicot, Louisiana native who currently lives in Nashville.  In 2018, James wed his long-time love, Kelsie Menard, in Louisiana. Friend and mentor Randy Travis, along with his wife, Mary, were in attendance at their wedding, adding to the special day.
